It has been revealed that the residents in Benin Kingdom are not going to be allowed to use fire to cook anything on a particular day for some special reason.
All residents in Benin kingdom have been advised not to cook with fire on Sunday - the day of Igberimwin in the royal funeral rites programme of the late Oba of Benin.
This was made known in a press statement signed and released by Secretary to the Benin Traditional Council, Mr. Frank Irabor.
According to the statement, cooking without fire is in accordance with Benin customs and tradition and is part of activities for the continuation of the 15 days funeral rites of late Benin Monarch, Oba Erediauwa.
I don't understand,so what do they expect me to use to cook,Heather, ring boiler,sum, what if one can't afford electric cooker,this is a bizarre joke that is not funny,what sort of tradition slaughters human and claim they are serving the oba where ever he's resting,as far as am concerned there is only heaven and hell so bros me no know where you wan rule,imagine the nonsense say because ordinary man die make I no cook on Sunday,bros better rest for your grave..I plan on cooking roasting boiling frying barbecuing on Sunday,for Christ sake it's thanks giving I need fire,let his people eat lacasera and gala,mtchewwww rubbish.
