Economic Hardship??: Nylon of Tomatoes Reportedly Snatched in Broad Daylight at Lagos Market (See)

The scathing pains of economic hardship is beginning to envelope Nigeria which is experiencing a record high inflation of 13.7% according to the National Bureau of Statistics.

Its no news that the price of tomatoes in the market place has skyrocketed due to yet-to-be defined reasons traced to the spate of inflation rocking the most populous nation in Africa, Nigeria.

A Nigerian lady, Viv Enegbo based in Lagos has narrated how she bought 5 bulbs of tomatoes for a staggering sum of N100 each, totaling N500 on the whole. To her greatest shock, a random person had his nylon of tomatoes snatched by a petty thief at the market place.

This bores down to the essentiality of tomatoes which is currently competing with fuel in the market today.
