APC Threat to Impeach Buhari "A Joke"; Wamakko Denies Using his House for the Plot
The APC leadership has dismissed the threat by Senators loyal to Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu to kick start the impeachment of President Muhammadu Buhari has a huge joke that should be disregarded.
"The Party advises the Senators in question to stop this huge joke and concentrate on their primary constitutional responsibilities of lawmaking and discharging of their legislative mandates to their constituents at the National Assembly."
Also, ex-governor of Sokoto State, Senator Aliyu Wamakko, has cried out, denying media reports that he hosted meetings at his Abuja residence to discuss how to impeach President Buhari.
Senator Wamakko said, “To set the records straight, a meeting was only held in my residence towards finding amicable solution to the frosty relationship between the Executive and Legislature.”
The former Sokoto governor said those at the meeting had observed the growing disharmony between the two arms of government and resolved that finding amicable solution to the impasse will move the nation forward and give the president focus to pursue his Change Agenda.
He added that, “As a principled politician, I have no cause to scheme against the president and the party I campaigned for or the cause I believe in.
“Let me once again reiterate that we hold the president in high esteem, and we will do our best towards ensuring that there is cordial relationship and harmony between the two arms.”
